Tokenization and Web3
We bring real-world assets onto a blockchain: we divide them into digital parts, with rules written into a contract and a registry anyone can verify.
What it is
A real asset, in digital parts.
Tokenizing means representing a real-world asset (a building, a plot of land, a project under construction) with tokens: digital units issued on a blockchain, each one equivalent to a part of that asset.
The rules are written into a smart contract: how many tokens there are, who can hold them, how they are transferred and how payments are distributed. Every movement is recorded and can be verified.
What Web3 brings
Smart contracts
The rules enforce themselves: issuance, permissions, transfers and payments, with no manual reconciliation.
Traceability
Every issuance and every transfer is recorded and can be audited.
Fractional access
A large asset is divided into small parts, so more people can take part.
Transferability
Tokens can move from one verified account to another, according to each project’s rules.
How it works
From the asset to the registry, in four steps.
- 01
The asset and its structure
It is defined what will be tokenized and under which legal structure: for example, a trust that holds the asset and issues the tokens.
- 02
The contract and the issuance
A smart contract sets how many tokens there are, how they are transferred and who can hold them. With that, they are issued.
- 03
The participants
Each participant verifies their identity (KYC) and acquires tokens through a web platform or an app. The contract only accepts verified accounts.
- 04
The registry and the payments
Ownership and every movement are recorded on the blockchain. When applicable, payments are distributed according to each holder’s tokens.
An example
A platform to finance real estate projects.
We developed a white-label platform for real estate developers to finance their projects with tokens. Each developer launches it under their own brand and domain, uploads their projects and manages their investors in one place.
- 01
Setup
The developer’s instance is activated, with their brand and domain.
- 02
Project
From the dashboard, the developer uploads the project information, the legal documentation, the financial plan and the terms of issuance.
- 03
Participation
Investors sign up with email, Google or a wallet, verify their identity and acquire tokens.
- 04
Payments
When the project provides for it, payments are distributed to the registered holders in a traceable, automated way.
What it includes
- Investor portal under the developer’s brand
- Admin dashboard for projects and issuances
- Built-in identity verification (KYC)
- Sign-up with email, Google or a wallet
- Audited smart contracts
- Investor dashboard: holdings, transactions and documents
- Automated emails for sign-ups, purchases and payments
- Technical support and monitoring
How it’s built
The contracts run on Arbitrum, an Ethereum layer 2 network, and the infrastructure on AWS. Each developer operates in its own environment: domain, database and contract, separate from the others.
For which projects
- Residential
- Offices
- Retail
- Hospitality
- Land subdivisions
- At-cost trusts
We develop technology. The legal structure and the offering of each project depend on its issuer and on the regulations of each country.
